Why Believe in the Holy Trinity
Here is a question that all of us need to think a lot about today. That question is this: “Why do I believe in God? Not just God Himself, but the Holy Trinity?” There are so many people who believe in a “god” but not everyone believes in the Holy Trinity. In fact, every religion has a god or gods who they believe in and pray to. In what way is our God different?
True, this is some pretty deep thinking that we are being asked to do, but it is an exercise that will pay dividends. If we challenge ourselves to seek answers to this question, we may be surprised at our results. Here is a verse that may be a good starting point. It is found in Philippians 4:8 and says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
When we pray today, ask the Holy Spirit to take us deeper in our understanding of who God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are in our lives.
Pray for a greater understanding of why we love God and why we have placed our complete faith and trust into His mighty hands.
Our Heavenly Father is real. Jesus is real and the Holy Spirit is real. Too often we will take them for granted. What we really need to do is to remember who they are and how much they mean to us. Please take time to think about today’s question and to find truthful answers to why we believe in the Holy Trinity.
