God’s Eternal Love
It is such a humbling thought to realize that God has cherished us and watched over us since the moment of our birth. Whether we realized it or not, He was always there, helping us to navigate the trials and the tribulations, the victories and the defeats, the glories and the regrets that we all experience in life.
Then, at some point in our lives, we realized that we needed to reach out to our Creator and embrace His unconditional love. We did so by accepting His Son Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Which in truth is God’s greatest gift of love to all mankind. It was at that moment that our lives would begin to change. As our lives continued, we soon realized that the more that we sought to be like our Lord, the more the Holy Spirit would effect that transformation.
It is impossible to read what God is telling us in Isaiah 46:3-5 and not feel a sense of joy rising up in our heart. Our Lord lovingly says, “Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. “With whom will you compare me or count me equal? To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?”
Let us never forget that He is our God and our Creator and that we are His beloved creation. Each one of us is unique and special in His eyes. Let us embrace the truth that nothing will ever separate us from His immeasurable love.
Perhaps Paul says it best in Romans 8:38-39 where he proclaims, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Give thanks to our Heavenly Father that even before we knew of Him, He loved us.
Offer prayers of thanksgiving that the eyes of our Creator have never left us since the moment of our creation.
Then let us lay our prayer requests at the feet of our God, knowing that He is real and that He pours out His love upon those who love Him.
All too often we get caught up in the trials of life. It is good to take a moment and see everything from God’s perspective. Every step of this journey is meant to bring us closer to our Lord. Yes, we may stumble and we may deviate for a time from God’s plan. But never forget that He is always there, helping to lift us up and to guide us back on to His path.
